We had a great holiday but felt the hotel could have pushed the boat out a bit more on Christmas Day. A glass of cava and the chef carving a turkey at the lunch buffet was the only difference to the normal buffet. And I didn't really want chips with my turkey! I know we were in Spain, but I did miss my Christmas pudding and some Christmas cake! The 'live' entertaintainment was terrible - a man standing behind a keyboard only using his phone to put the next track on is not 'live music'! But the actual holiday was lovely, a good mix of trips out and free time. And the weather was perfect.

Everything was first class. Would definitely book another holiday with Rail Discoveries.

I enjoyed the trip, but found getting on and off the French trains very tiring. Nevertheless I would go again.

Everything was almost perfect it was the hotel food that let the holiday down, not so much the quality or quantity but the fact that it was almost cold when you got to eat it, there were no heated plates available
