Cotswolds & The Severn Valley
Low Deposit £25pp
Discover glorious Worcester and its host of nearby attractions on this superb holiday, enjoying wonderful journeys on heritage railways including the Warwickshire Railway.
On arrival in the medieval city of Worcester, your Tour Manager will be waiting for you at the Worcester Whitehouse Hotel. After settling in, you are free to begin exploring ahead of dinner in the hotel this evening.
Discover Worcester on a guided walking tour taking in the city's many attractions, including its timber framed Tudor buildings, and of course the magnificent cathedral.
Travel by coach to the spa town of Cheltenham and board the Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway for an atmospheric steam-hauled* journey across the Vale of Evesham and through the pretty Cotswolds' countryside. We then transfer to Broadway, which is far more quaint than it's American counterpart. We enjoy some time here for lunch, and this afternoon, visit the quaint market town of Moreton-in-Marsh.
Enjoy plenty of time at leisure to enjoy this beautiful little town, that is filled with history, having been a settlement since the Iron Age. Perhaps take a look at 'Ye Old Stocks' in the centre of the town, or pay a visit to the lovely Victorian market hall, designed by Ernest George in 1887.
*Steam-hauled where possible
Your morning begins in Bridgnorth where you are at leisure. In your free time, you could take a trip on the Castle Hill Railway, the country's only inland funicular line.
Next, enjoy an excursion on the Severn Valley Railway*, which follows the path of the River Severn, through remote valleys and past the 200 metre Victoria Bridge. From Kidderminster, travel back to Worcester by coach.
*Steam-hauled where possible
After breakfast, your tour concludes and you are free to depart at your leisure or continue exploring the beautiful surrounding area.
On many of our UK & Ireland tours, you may check in at the first hotel on your itinerary anytime after 14:00; your Tour Manager will be available between 16:00 and 18:00. However, if you are arriving later, you can meet your Tour Manager before dinner from 19:00.

Well organised good hotel and food
Great hotel and great tours.
Went like a clockwork train from start to finish
When we arrived in Worcester the hotel was directly opposite the station. So convenient. The holiday was superbly organised and the hotel extremely comfortable. The trips out each day were very enjoyable.
Well thought out lovely hotel courier was excellent
The arrangements were very good The Tour Guide was excellent The hotel was very central and good value for the price The tours were excellent All round, very enjoyable
Overall a good tour, based around a good hotel, providing good food. Tour spoilt somewhat by two hours in Stow on a wet Sunday afternoon. This is not the most interesting Cotswold town and there are other options which should be assessed in the area.
A reasonable trip, hotel was nice, food was mostly very good. We were unable to open window very far so room was very warm for our liking. The walking tour on Saturday was not to our liking, the tour guide was awful. So did our own which was good! Both train rides where good. Hotel staff were always very polite and helpful.
Excellent break, hotel great and excursions very enjoyable.
Attractive medieval setting and historic steam railways
