Meet your Tour Manager at London St Pancras where you board the Eurostar to Paris. Carry on from here to Stuttgart by rail where you change for Nuremberg for an overnight stay. After a morning here, board a train for Linz in Austria, and on arrival, change trains for your journey to Altmünster am Traunsee where you check into your hotel.
Today we take a cruise across spectacular Traunsee, a lake which resembles a fjord, to the waterfront village of Traunkirchen, stopping en route at the foot of Mount Traunstein. Your time in Traunkirchen is at leisure. Perhaps take a stroll around the village's twisting cobbled lanes whilst admiring the sublime lake and mountain views.
We pay a visit to the famous town of Salzburg. Known as the setting for 'The Sound of Music', Salzburg is undeniably pretty, and as the birthplace of classical composer Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, it has an impressive musical heritage to explore. Day 5 is yours to enjoy.

Watched over by a white church tower which stands out against the deep green mountains behind it, St Wolfgang is very much the classic Austrian village. We leave Altmünster today, travelling by rail to Salzburg and then Stuttgart for an overnight stay. We travel by rail to Paris on Day 9 for the Eurostar service to London.
